Science Will Never Beat Nature as Growing Health Crisis Looms

(PRWEB) September 30, 2010

A recent report published by the National Centre for Biotechnology entitled “Can a Statin Neutralize the Cardiovascular Risk of Unhealthy Dietary Choices?” will offer some hope to the processed foods industry which is fast losing out on customers due to the popularity of healthy eating lifestyles such as the paleo diet. “The world is waking up to the perils of unhealthy eating, people are choosing alternative dietary habits and realizing that junk food might be cheap, but medicine can be a whole lot more expensive”, explains Nikki Young, Paleo Cookbook author.

Walking out of McDonalds, Burger King or Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant and being handed a pill that supposedly counteracts the cardiovascular related dangers associated with the ambush of salt, sugar, preservatives and trans fat contained in the average fast food meal might sound far fetched, but this is exactly what a recent report by the National Centre for Biotechnology Information has documented. With fast food restaurants already offering free condiments, investigators have cited the possibility of also offering a free statin with each meal – a statin being an ipid-lowering medicine which assists in lowering blood cholesterol levels.

The negative press surrounding bad food has, despite corporate and governmental attempts, become so powerful that people are avoiding particular foods, one such food being high-fructose corn syrup. In light of this, the Corn Refiners Association recently asked a panel of food experts in the New York Times to offer branding alternatives in a bid to change public perception. Corn Syrup, Corn Sugar, Glucose-Fructose Corn Sweetener and High Fructose Corn Sugar are all under consideration.

“High-fructose corn syrup is a cheap sweetener and a major promoter of insulin resistance and obesity in society”, says Nikki Young. “People should aim to avoid highly processed foods containing sugars, additives, preservatives and other harmful ingredients. Following a nutritionally dense diet by consuming the foods nature intended us to eat is what the body strives for and depends on for good health and disease prevention”.

‘Life friendly’ diets such as the paleo diet are increasingly becoming a thorn in the side of processed food companies who rely on those addicted to sugar, ready made meals and dangerous food additives such as MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) to sustain their industry. As more and more people turn back towards the diet of our ancestors and become liberated by less illness, weight loss, better sleep and more zest for life, profit margins continue to be squeezed for fast food companies worldwide.

It is insane to conceptualize a world where humans take medicine to combat the fact that they are poisoning the body every time food is consumed. In a global culture that already relies far too heavily on medicine to function in everyday life this is surely a dangerous road to pursue.

Nikki Young elaborates, “There should only ever be one reason people take medicine, and that is where natural treatments are unable to assist the healing process. Natural medicine listens to the body and works in tandem with the body’s resources to find and treat the root cause of the problem. For good health, the best thing is to eat foods that are compatible with the design of human genetics, not nutritionally deprived foods which promote high cholesterol and high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and continuous ailments”.

There is no substitute for a healthy lifestyle consisting of regular exercise and healthy eating. Providing people with complimentary statin will only encourage unhealthy eating and contribute further to obesity. Surely the money would be better spent educating people on diets and healthy lifestyles like paleo, which is already providing increased quality of life and eliminating the need for regular medicine amongst hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.

Nutrition and Bodybuilding Supplement Company Brings Big BOOM to Stage with Athlete Philip Ricardo Jr. at Team USA Natural Bodybuilding Championships

Ogden, UT (PRWEB) September 28, 2010

When Jason Hansen, founder of health, fitness and bodybuilding supplementation company, The Body Evolution, came up with the product name, “BOOM Power Rush” for his company’s Pre-Workout drink two years ago, he must have been thinking. Because his Team Body Evolution, led by coach David Edgell and Team Captain PNBA Pro Bodybuilder Tyler Alexander, brought a really, really big BOOM to the stages of Las Vegas this weekend.

The Body Evolution brought five elite athletes to the stage on September 25th and stole the show, literally sweeping the house with a massive “Power Rush” of sorts.

At the ABA/INBA/PNBA Team USA Natural Bodybuilding Championships, it was all Team Body Evolution as Team Sponsored Athlete Marine Corps Master Sargeant Philip Ricardo Jr. aka “Rico” returned to the stage following his International Fitness and Physique Association (IFPA) Pro title win in July, and a previous 18 month absence because of his military deployment, to win the Team Mr. USA ABA/INBA/PNBA Pro USA men’s natural bodybuilding title. Results in the Men’s Pro division included: 2nd place: Peka Bennefield, 3rd place: Xavius Gayden, 4th place: Chris Jantz, 5th place: Marco Pagnanelli, and 6th place: Ace Baldwin.

Philip Ricardo, Jr. is no slouch to the world of Natural Bodybuilding being an 18-year veteran of the sport, winning back-to-back Natural Olympia Titles in 2007-2008, multiple PNBA Pro Championships, a 5-time IFPA Pro Champion, and winner of the National Gym Association (NGA) Professional Mr. Universe title.

“It was such a great feeling to win the 2010 Team USA Natural Bodybuilding Championships with my wife MaryBeth by my side, a few of my great friends who traveled out to see me from California, and the entire Body Evolution Team in attendance,” said one of the greatest natural bodybuilders of all time, Philip Ricardo, Jr. “Representing the Body Evolution Team as their Pro Male Bodybuilder and coming home with the Team USA title for them was my main goal for this event. I’m very pleased with how my training, Body Evolution supplementation, and overall preparation for this competition assisted in defeating five great Natural Pros. The icing on the cake was being awarded the ‘Best Poser’ trophy for the entire show! It was an unbelievable night and it’s awesome to be part of such a successful team of great athletes!”

The night started with Team Body Evolution’s Amber Jones coming in with the most packed 103lbs. of physique you will ever see! Amber placed first in the figure short division and warmed up the stage for Body Evolution teammate Shannon Mullins (previous Ms. Rodeo Utah) who flared an impressive figure to dominate and win the Figure Medium class.

The Body Evolution’s founder, Heather Hansen won her tall class to even out the playing field for Team Body Evolution. It was than a complete toss up for the Overall, finding these three beauties all together on stage with the other winners as they lined up to find out who would be the Overall title winner.

Heather Hansen, previous Mrs. Utah America, won the Figure Overall in the Figure Classic division, in her first ever National Figure Fitness competition, and the Overall title winner for the Team USA Figure Fitness, coming in perfect and dialed in all areas of the game earning her PNBA Pro status.

“I felt honored to be standing on stage with such outstanding women representing The Body Evolution, said Overall Team USA winner, Heather Hansen. “I believe any of our team members could have taken the title of Overall Figure due to our BE supplements, positive attitude, and dedication to the sport! It just happened to be my night!”

Heather is the first woman from Utah to bring home gold in the figure category at the Team USA.

Team Body Evolution’s Amara Kockler, a well known NGA/PNBA two time Pro figure competitor and trainer found herself taking home silver as she placed second in a tough, tough Pro class.

Rico, Amber, Shannon, Heather and Amara all qualified and made Team USA and will represent the USA at the ABA, PNBA, INBA World Natural Olympia competition to be held in November in Reno, Nevada where they will battle the rest of the World to see who truly is the best in the Natural Bodybuilding Sport.

The five teamed up with The Body Evolution and The Shop, the foremost companies specializing in supplementation, diet plans and training for professional athletes in powerlifting, natural bodybuilding, strongman and multiple other sports to create such a team. All have found The Body Evolution supplements to be their “leading edge” going into competition.

“After starting “BOOM Power Rush”, for the first time,” says Team USA Champion, Philip Ricardo, Jr., “there is no doubt in my mind that it ranks at the top of the supplement industry for Pre-Workout products. My energy was incredible and stable leading up to the ABA/INBA/PNBA Team USA show. I don’t crash after workouts, and I ‘BOOM’ just before going on stage to get that extra vascularity and pump. For the first time ever, I found a supplement that I can take consistently that is sugar-free and keeps the strength going for the brutal weeks leading up to a show.”

The Vegas “BOOM” of bringing these athletes to a national level and all placing is something that has rarely if ever been done. All five athletes plan on continuing training, supplementing and representation of The Body Evolution for years to come. With such a “Power Rush”, watch out because you will probably see another “BOOM” at the 2010 Natural Olympia in November.

Diatic Medical: The New Generation of Diabetic and Medical Supplies Delivering Products Directly to Homes and Businesses

Southfield, MI (PRWEB) September 26, 2010

Diabetes is one of the fastest growing medical conditions in the United States and across the globe. 24 million people are estimated to have diabetes in the U.S, which accounts for approximately 7.8 percent of the population. A large portion of these figures are attributable to Type II Diabetes, which is typically diagnosed in individuals later in life with other health challenges.

The steep rise in diagnoses of the condition, coupled with the high cost of managing diabetes, has created a greater need for affordable testing supplies and equipment. This is particularly true in today’s world with high levels unemployment and record numbers of uninsured persons. Of course, even those people who have insurance or Medicare coverage may find that high deductibles, co-pays, or having to pay out-of-pocket for non-covered medical products, becomes a financial challenge.

While many people still seem content driving to the pharmacy for supplies, Diatic Medical is a new generation diabetic supply company that delivers products directly to its consumers’ homes. By delivering its products, instead of owning a physical store, Diatic is able to greatly reduce the overall cost of doing business, and in turn sell products at far lower prices.

The goal of Diatic Medical is to not only ensure diabetics have access to affordable supplies, but also to provide people with the resources to access and review the latest information on diabetic topics. Weight loss, diabetic diets, and exercise plans are all things diabetics must actively manage to help control and minimize the effects of diabetes. In addition, by utilizing new media on the web, including blogs, and social networking sites, Diatic provides an environment for diabetics to educate themselves and find support through a community of people with similar needs.

As healthcare costs skyrocket, and access to affordable supplies becomes more difficult, a growing number of diabetics may simply decide not to test as recommended by their physicians. Unfortunately, there are consequences for both the individual and the healthcare system when prompt treatment is not received. Uncontrolled diabetes can contribute to secondary health issues, including kidney disease, stroke, high blood pressure, heart disease, and many other complications, which make the overall benefits of treating diabetes early unquestionable.

Diatic Medical proves that options do exist for those operating under a strict budget.

Diatic Medical is based in Southfield, Michigan, but serves the entire country. With shipping facilities in multiple regions, Diatic Medical offers low cost supplies, including blood glucose meters, blood glucose test strips, control solution, and other medical supplies for daily healthcare needs, delivered directly to customers’ homes anywhere in the country. More information on Diatic Medical is available on its website at http://www.diaticmedical.com, or by phone at 888-692-7125.

Variety is the Spice of Life (and Dieting!)

Variety is the Spice of Life (and Dieting!)

Let’s face it, no one likes feeling fat. No one likes their clothes to be too tight or to look in the mirror and not feel attractive, but losing those excess pounds can be difficult, intimidating, and confusing. With so many diets and weight loss plans out there it’s really hard to tell the difference between the fads, the frauds, and the programs that actually work. And, to complicate things, the same plan doesn’t work for everyone—so how do you choose one?

One thing that most programs agree on is that there is no quick fix when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off—it takes work. Dieting is work, but choosing the right diet for your body and your lifestyle can make the experience less of a chore. Some people have a hard time counting calories and preparing healthy meals due to busy schedules or lack of cooking skills, and for those people diet plans with prepared meals, delivery services, or planned menus can make losing weight a snap. Other people don’t like pre-prepared food or need larger portions. For them, preparing their own meals based on their tastes means that there is a much better chance they will actually stick to their diets. Plus, then they can eat larger portions of vegetables and fruits to help keep them full without consuming too many calories. Others like to be able prepare some of their own meals and purchase prepared foods for some of their meals. They need plans with lots of flexibility that can incorporate spontaneity.

Exercise programs are just as varied as diets. Some people can run for miles or do aerobics for hours, while others prefer lower impact workouts like swimming, yoga, or Pilates. Some people are self-starters who motivate themselves while others burn more fat in class settings with a trainer there to motivate them. Some people hate exercising altogether and need fun classes or sports like tennis that feel less like a workout. The best way to figure out which exercises you are going to enjoy the most is to head over you your local gym and try a few things out. Go to a few classes, try out the equipment, hop into the pool, or pick up a racquet. You will be more likely to stick to your workouts if you don’t hate them!

When it comes to losing weight, it is always easiest if you take your lifestyle, preferences, and taste buds into account when choosing a plan to follow. What works for your best friend or sister may not work for you. If you play to your strengths and chose a program that isn’t a huge stretch for you it’s going to be easier to stick to and ultimately you are going to have more success.

Weight Loss Pills ? How to Gain and be Safe

Weight Loss Pills ? How to Gain and be Safe

Weight loss pills have become popular in the past several years. There are two basic types of diet pills or weight loss pills – ‘prescription’ and ‘non-prescription’ pills.
Prescription Pills :

Prescription weight loss pills are treated like drugs. They require FDA approval and are closely regulated. Some examples of this type of weight loss pills are Xenical (Orlistat), Meridia (Sibutramine) and Phentermine/ Fentermine. To prove their effectiveness in weight reduction, these pills are subjected to a range of clinical tests typically for monitoring health risks and side effects.
Non Prescription Pills

The Non-prescription weight loss pills are also called as weight loss supplements. These drugs can be purchased over the counter as they are subjected to minimal FDA regulation only. Some examples of this type of weight loss pills include pills from Metabolife™ and Herbalife™ as well as fat-burners, herbal weight loss pills, stackers, other sports or diet supplements.

The difference between prescription and non-prescription weight loss pills is becoming narrower. Since some types of non-prescription pills can be just as powerful or dangerous as weight loss drugs. Exception is that these types of weight loss supplements are not regulated similar to prescription weight loss pills. Hence they can be more dangerous if anything. The FDA has issued warnings recently about weight loss supplements that contain ephedra. Hence, many drug manufacturers are now declaring as ‘ephedra-free’ by removing ephedra from their weight loss pills.
Who can benefit from Weight Loss Pills?

Prescription weight loss pills are designed specifically for the treatment of obesity rather than mere weight loss. Despite health risks and side effects, the use of weight loss pills is justified, as obesity is a serious condition associated with serious health risks. Weight loss supplements or Non-prescription weight loss pills should be viewed in similar light.
Do these Weight Loss Pills work?

The answer is both Yes and No. With a proper exercise program and diet in conjunction with medical supervision, weight loss pills or weight loss supplements can be effective in the short term at least. However the benefits may quickly wear off as the body adjusts rather quickly to many weight loss pills.
Weight Loss Trials of Pills clinically:

Clinical weight loss trials demonstrate that by using weight loss pills alone, long term weight control is not possible. A combination of improved diet and physical activity is to be maintained in the long term to maintain weight loss successfully.
Consult your doctor before taking weight loss pills:

You should obtain information from your doctor about the possible dangers and side effects of weight loss pills before taking any weight loss pills.
Side Effects of taking weight loss pills:

Weight loss pills become less effective as time progresses like most drugs and can lead to addiction. If you feel any of the following side effects, taking the pills should be stopped immediately.

Irritability

Anxiety or nervousness

High blood pressure

Insomnia

Heart palpitations and Heart attack

Tightness in the chest

Vomiting, constipation or constant stomach pain

Diarrhea, Fever and Head aches

Dry mouth

Dizziness

Profuse sweating

Blurred vision

Hair loss

Urinary tract problems

Disturbances in sex drive and menstrual cycle.

The long-term effects of these weight loss pills are not known and how they interact with other medications is also not clear.

Keys to Weight Loss Discussed

Keys to Weight Loss Discussed

For some weight loss is achieved faster with hypnosis. Some people say it feels like magic because it is so easy to make powerful changes. Weight loss is not an easy process. If you want to look more beautiful and slimmer, you need more than just perseverance. Weight loss is a given, but other changes have been freeing. Weight loss is simple, burn more calories then you consume. If you can fully understand that then you are on your way to losing weight. Weight loss is extremely difficult when you feel like you are depriving yourself. Instead of being a positive and exciting experience, losing weight becomes a struggle against yourself.

Additionally, women who want to lose weight fast that skip meals actually lower their metabolism. That means their body needs fewer calories and overeating leads to gaining fat faster. Therefore, you shouldn’t try to lose weight by dieting alone.

Are you ready to lose weight? Do you want to learn the secrets to finally shed your excess body fat while keeping your hard earned muscle? The only way you can lose weight and keep it off is to get your natural fat-burning mechanisms functioning normally and at peak efficiency again. The healthy way to weight loss is to lose excess fat, not lose muscle tissue and water. Crash diets can help you lose weight quickly, but most people gain the weight back. Some of these diets are also unhealthy and dangerous.

The majority of people who are trying to lose weight through conventional diets and calorie counting normally dream of food, reflecting on their needs and immediate experiences of food depravation. This creates a food craving that confronts them when they awaken, that regularly leads to them breaking their diet. So forget about all of the fad diets and learn how to lose weight by eating a healthy diet & exercising regularly!

Read more here: http://www.GoodHealthInfo.info

OK, back to learning how to lose weight. The main key to losing weight fast is to create a calorie deficit in the body. We need to look at natural ways to lose weight and find weight loss guides that teach us how to control our weight by making healthy food choices and leading an active lifestyle. The best advice I can give anyone trying to lose weight is to get rid of the tv and take up a sport. A custom-fit diet not only makes sense, it’s also good news for the dieter who couldn’t lose weight on this year’s fad, or who took off pounds quickly and then gained them back (and more).

Since you must burn a phenomenal amount of calories in order to lose pounds, exercise is crucial to long-term weight loss success.

Weight loss simply does not address the long term reasons why we gain weight. Weight loss only erases the evidence of persistent issues to weight control such as aging, processed food, metabolism damage, eating behavior and the fact we all spend long periods of time ‘out of it’ with respect to weight loss and fitness.

Weight Watchers has become a powerful force on the diet scene, bringing millions of people around the world into small group meetings for weekly weigh-ins and diet support and tips. And while today’s Weight Watchers program differs dramatically from years past, the main tenet is still to consume fewer calories than you expend. Weight loss is simple, burn more calories then you consume. If you can fully understand that then you are on your way to losing weight. Weight loss occurs since most of the calories and nutrients are routed into the colon where they are not absorbed.

Weight loss is extremely difficult when you feel like you are depriving yourself. Instead of being a positive and exciting experience, losing weight becomes a struggle against yourself. Weight loss is generally temporary, and unhealthy diet approaches have been linked with health damage and even death.

Losing weight is really hard to achieve by yourself. It takes encouragement, support, and a community of like-minded folks who are determined to make a difference. Weight loss is easy when you integrate hypnosis and coaching. Weight loss is a part of the equation for many women, but much more important is feeling a sense of control over one’s body and one’s health.

Weight loss is far too complex an issue to be dealt with by being preached at. Weight loss is a basic equation based on eating the right foods and doing the right exercises. Weight loss is often treated as a “quick fix” or short-term goal. Yet weight loss is a health and fitness issue, which is a lifestyle issue, one that is quite manageable if handled right.

The LipoTherapeia Update: 5 Things You Did Not Know About Cellulite: Paleolithic Diet, Pressotherapy, Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals And More…

Los Angeles, CA (Vocus) September 24, 2010

Through the LipoTherapeia Update, every month cellulite guru Georgios Tzenichristos will publish a summary of his recent lectures on cellulite, lymphatic drainage, skin firming and cosmetic surgery aftercare. This month the subjects are the Paleolithic Diet’s effect on cellulite, pressotherapy, endocrine disrupting chemicals, the main reasons behind the prevalence of cellulite today and the reasons why most cellulite treatments “don’t work”.

Georgios Tzenichristos specialises in cellulite reduction, lymphatic drainage, skin firming and post-cosmetic surgery treatments since 2000. In addition to running his busy cellulite clinic in South Kensington, London, Georgios has developed his own range or anti-cellulite creams and regularly lectures and writes about cellulite and related subjects.

Why is cellulite on the increase these days? The effect of the pill, sugar and …computers

There is no doubt that cellulite affects more women than ever before, including very young and slim women that rarely suffered from cellulite before. The reasons behind today’s cellulite “epidemic”, Georgios argues, are the increase in sugar consumption (mainly due to the stress, boredom or depression that our modern lifestyle causes), inactivity caused by the ever-growing use of computers for work and social interaction, the use of hormonal contraception, and the prevalence of xenoestrogens, i.e. endocrine disrupting toxins that mimic estrogen in a women’s bodies.

“I have treated more than a thousand women, and have noticed that the women who seem to be addicted to sweets, are on the contraceptive pill and have extremely sedentary jobs seem to be the worse affected by cellulite, even very young or slim women”, Georgios states and goes on to explain: “This of course makes sense, since both sugar and estrogen (artificial or natural) stimulate fat cell proliferation, whilst inactivity negatively affects collagen cell function and circulation, all causative factors of cellulite”.

Endocrine disrupting chemicals and cellulite

As the name suggests, endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) tend to impair endocrine function, affecting hormones such as estrogen and thyroid hormone by either mimicking them or disrupting the relevant glands. Xenoestrogens, a special class of EDCs that act as “deformed” estrogens in the body, are more well known about their effect on breast and prostate cancer. However, given that cellulite is to a large extent estrogen-driven and that it is also a storage site of fat-soluble toxins (such as most EDCs) we can fairly assume that the abundance of xenoestrogens and other EDCs play an important role in the prevalence of cellulite today.

Paleolithic Diet and Cellulite

The Paleolithic Diet describes the diet of the human being during it’s evolution from 2.5 million years ago until the advent of agriculture, 12,000 years ago. The Paleolithic Diet is the natural diet of the human being and involves eating fish, lean meat, berries and other fruits and an abundance vegetables, while it excludes cellulite-producing foods such as starches, sugars and saturated fats. The Paleo Diet is the ultimate anti-cellulite diet and, if combined with vigorous exercise and good cellulite treatments/creams, it can lead to significant cellulite reduction.

“Apparently cave women did not have cellulite”, Georgios claims and and adds that “there are a of lessons we can learn from them, especially with regards to our diet!”

Why most cellulite treatments do not work?

Cellulite is notoriously difficult treat and most cellulite treatments do not seem to really work. Once established, cellulite can only be reduced (not eliminated) with a personalised plan including a course of regular vigorous treatments (usually 10-20 sessions, taken once or twice a week), healthy diet, regular exercise and the use of anti-cellulite creams.

There are several reasons why a cellulite treatment fails to give results, some having to do with the quality of the treatment and some with the attitude and expectations of the client. These reasons are summarised below:

The treatment plan is very simplistic and not personalised, quite often involving treatment irrelevant to the client’s needs, Such approaches have no chance of success for a complicated aesthetic condition like cellulite.
The treatment itself is ineffective, i.e it does not work at all, works very slowly or only offers very temporary results.
The treatment is overly expensive, making a course of 10-20 sessions unaffordable and forcing women to expect good results in 2-3 sessions. However, no cellulite treatment can offer satisfactory results in 2-3 sessions, regardless of how expensive it is.
The client has unrealistic expectations fuelled by dishonest marketing hype. This can only lead to disappointment.
The treatment works perfectly well but the client does not exercise or eat healthily, or even worse continues to indulge in the very lifestyle that led to the development of cellulite. Obviously, in that case no treatment is good enough…

Pressotherapy and cellulite

Pressotherapy is a usually overlooked anti-cellulite treatment that can provide significant results, either on it’s own or in combination with other, more vigorous treatments. Pressotherapy involves the rhythmical compression and decompression of inflatable garments that pump lymph and venous blood from the legs or arms towards the heart, thereby aiding circulation, lymphatic drainage and detoxification and reducing water retention and cellulite. Pressotherapy is much more effective and can replace traditional manual lymphatic massage in 90% of water retention cases, or it can be used in combination with it.

Furthermore, If used immediately before or after with exercise, pressotherapy can maximise fat loss from a specific body area, something which is impossible with exercise alone.

Does Milk and Weight Loss Go Together?

Does Milk and Weight Loss Go Together?

Copyright (c) 2008 Phyllis Ekleberry

Do milk and weight loss go together? We have all seen the commercial where someone is drinking a glass of milk and then says ‘”It does a body good”. After that statement, the commercial goes on to say that by including milk in your every day weight loss program promotes better weight loss particularly around the waist line.

Milk and Weight Loss in the News

The Natural News had this to say about milk and weight loss, ‘”There is no evidence that dairy consumption helps people lose weight, according to a study conducted by researchers published in the journal Nutrition Review.”

Researchers Reviews On Milk and Weight Loss

The researchers reviewed the results of 49 different clinical trials that examined the connection between either dairy or calcium supplement consumption and the changes that occur when you do consume dairy products or take calcium supplements. The results were over-whelming. Out of the studies the following was recorded:

- 41 studies showed no weight

- 5 showed a correlation with weight loss

- 2 showed an actual weight gain

- 1 study found no impact on weight but a decrease in the accumulation of body fat.

This is verifiable testing that shows milk and weight loss do not necessarily go hand in hand. When you partake of dairy products, researchers have found out that you also consume more whole grains, fruits and vegetables. With these great choices, you will lose weight faster and easier. All of these things have complex carbohydrates instead of the over-processed carbohydrates that are found in white breads and bleached white grains and white rice. It also shows that women who have a higher dairy consumption or calcium intake are much less likely to drink or smoke. Those same women are also more likely to exercise and take vitamin supplements.

The Direction of a Good Weight Loss Program

This research goes a long way to point you in the direction of a good solid weight loss program instead of just picking what you think will work and hope for the best–like milk and weight loss . Instead of listening to the dairy industry, which has a vested interest in touting the supposed weight-loss benefits of milk and weight loss, you need to choose a weight loss plan that encompasses good eating habits along with exercise.

Many health experts advise that rather than expecting a single product to function as a miracle food, those wishing to lose weight should instead focus on a balanced, healthy diet with consistency.

You and Your Weight Loss Program

So what should your weight loss program possess? You should choose a weight loss program that fits your lifestyle and combines a good variety of foods. If you choose a weight loss program that has limited menu choices, then you will quickly tire of those choices and ultimately lose the battle. Generally speaking, if you can retrain your brain to eat healthy meals, stop the munching all day and eat when you are hungry instead of eating when you are bored, stressed, depressed, lonely or sad, then you will succeed!

Steps of Healthy Weight Loss Program

Following these simple steps to your weight loss program will catapult your weight loss into the double digits!

1.) Find a program that fits your lifestyle.

If you are not fond of cooking, a diet plan that requires you to cook will not work! Don’t choose a weight loss program or diet plan that requires you to eat something you can’t stand or do something you are not willing to do, this is self defeating.

Hint: this does not excuse you from exercise or improving your eating habits because without these two elements in your weight loss program, you are not going to get where you want to be very fast.

2.) Decide the “why” – you have to have a motivating reason why you want to lose weight. If your reason is not motivating enough to stop food in mid air – find another one! There will be times that your reason why will be the only thing that motivates you to exercise, eat less and eat healthy – Get a good one!

3.) Make sure you are healthy enough to go on the program you have chosen!

Please take the time to check with your doctor before you go on a weight loss program to see if there are any under lying problems that could limit your success.

4.) Choose a diet that makes sense. One that is healthy and has plenty of options If you are contemplating taking weight loss supplements – either in the form of a weight loss pill or weight loss patch.- Please take the time to check them out. Some companies have tested their products in a double blind test – look at the test results before using their products. Don’t trust the companies that have not gone through this process. The good ones have tested their products to insure their safety as well as their results.

5.Above all – carry through. You must continue along the weight loss path to succeed.

This is the hardest things to do – to carry through with your plans. How many times have you decided to do something and then dropped it like a hot potato because it did not work fast enough or it was not fun enough. Buckle down – just do it. It has to be done for your health’s sake so just do it!

6.) Enlist a support person, group or friend. With the right support you can move mountains!

7.Give yourself some praise. You are taking one of life’s hardest journeys – the weight loss journey. Losing weight just takes some time and committed dedication. You are worth it – you are worth every calorie you don’t put in your mouth – you are worth every moment you exercise. After all, if you do not take care of yourself – who is?
