I ate a sub sandwich after my workout of 40 minutes on a elliptical ranging between 4-7 MPH

the sub was the only thing that could fill me and it contained mustard mayo ham turkey lettuce tomato and bread.

was that a bad idea? it was the only thing available at the college food place and it filled me up.

plus i ate a grill chicked

Thats exactly my point i’m showing that the high metabolism saying doesn’t mean weight loss or better health. RED meats and the cause of cancers and heart diseases are like anything else its not due to red meats but to excess consumption of red meats. Even too much water can kill you.

  11. p90x4lifewaswrong says:

One of your best videos yet. This is one of my new favs

  12. BodyPerformanceTV says:

Overweight people DO have higher metabolisms but it’s because their bodies’s are inefficient. And diets that are high in RED meats have been show to cause greater cancers and heart disease. People who’s diet are high in fish have greater longevity and a lower incedence of many diseases.

  13. Canthandledatroof says:

What people don’t understand is that Metabolism is chemical processing it is energy expenditure. For the body to store fat creates a boost in metabolism. Overweight people don’t have a slow metabolism in fact its higher then normal since it takes energy to carry around the extra weight. Protein at one point in time was considered to cause cancer now it can’t do any wrong like Whole eggs it once was the cause of high cholesterol recent studies have debunked that.Stop worrying about food and train

Increases in lean muscle mass result from what you’re doing in the gym. They’re IRON related so to speak and I think we both know that. The question is: How much protein is required to repair muscle and rebuild it bigger and stronger after the Iron work? I’m slowly coming to the realization that it’s much less then I ever thought. I’m taking NO protein powder and have about 1 CLIF bar per week because they taste good, not for the protein. Son-of-a-bitch, I’m starting to realize Steve is right.

  22. brushfour says:

CR250, boy are you right! The general belief in the bodybuilding community (for the most part), tells a different story. I decided back in May 09′ to try out what Steve was talking about in regards to protein; taking in less protein, eliminating or reducing protein powders,..and the idea of ” catching up ” on protein. In 2 weeks I’ll hit the 6 month mark with this new approach. SO FAR….SO GOOD. I’ve lost some LBS of fat, and lost NO muscle. But my eyes are peeled for changes believe me.

  23. CR250RidR says:

so many bodybuilders (naturals and steroiders) eat excess protein… its so hard to determine whether hes right or not… cuz i’ve spoken with experts on both sides

  25. brushfour says:

The scale and waist measurement are the ultimate determiners as far as what’s REALLY going on with your body as far as fat loss. Your body will flucuate from day to day with weight, but the overall trend will be downward at approximately 1 lb. or so per week. If you’re not losing, you’re still eating too many calories or not doing enough cardio. Increase your walking or make some slight calorie cuts until the scale starts moving down. The scale and waist measurement will tell you what to do.
